Software system

  Computer software, or simply software, is that part of a computer system that consists of encoded information or computer instructions, in contrast to the physical hardware from which the system is built. The term is roughly synonymous with computer program, but is more generic in scope.The term "software" was first proposed by Alan Turing and used in this sense by John W. Tukey in 1957.

   Application software, which is software that uses the computer system to perform special functions or provide entertainment functions beyond the basic operation of the computer itself. There are many different types of application software, because the range of tasks that can be performed with a modern computer is so large while System software, which is software that directly operates the computer hardware, to provide basic functionality needed by users and other software, and to provide a platform for running application software.

Hardware

Computer hardware (or simply hardware in computing contexts) is the collection of physical elements that constitutes a computer system. Computer hardware is the physical parts or components of a computer and is always playing an important part in the working of computer.
  However, although computer depends largely on hardware to run the whole system, I believe that we human also play an important part in the control of the run of computer. For example, what we do on the computer is like an order and that's what computer listen to and perform in a certain way. So I believe that people are more important than hardware in deciding what computer should do.
